FREEPORT, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – It’s a serious neurological disorder that affects more than 300,000 people in the United States, and a walk this weekend is aiming to bring awareness to Chiari Malformation.
Monday on Newschannel 7 at 4 p.m., Amy and Rhyder Viktora, parents of a child with the disorder, along with Crystal Holloway, a person living with the disorder, stopped by to spread the word about Saturday’s walk.
The event will be held Saturday, September 28th at Props in Freeport.
Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the walk will begin at 9:30 a.m.
After the walk, attendees will also be able to attend food, fun, and giveaways.
If this week’s possible storm causes the event to be cancelled, the group tells us that it will be rescheduled for a time in October.
