Fernando Batista, the coach of Venezuela, has been suspended by CONMEBOL for one game and will miss his country’s final Copa America group-stage match against Jamaica.
Batista, 53, has been punished by the tournament organisers for his team’s delay in entering the field during their 1-0 win over Mexico at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The Venezuelan Football Federation has also been fined $15,000 for the infraction and warned over any repeat offences.
He joins Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni and Ricardo Gareca of Chile in being punished for the same offence at this summer’s tournament.
Assistant coach Leandro Cufre will replace Batista on the sidelines for Sunday’s game at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas.
Venezuela sit top of Group C and are already qualified for the quarterfinals.
They can win the group with a point against the already-eliminated Jamaicans and potentially avoid Argentina in the last eight.
Argentina, defending champions, can secure top spot in Group A with a point against Peru in Miami later on Saturday.
