Rihanna took to Instagram to share a joke about the 2024 election, but it seems that some people may have interpreted it more seriously than intended.

In the Instagram video shared on Monday, November 4, the 36 year-old singer wrote on top of the clip of her staring out a car window, "POV: me trying to sneak into the polls with my sons passport #votecauseicant." Rihanna – whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty – accompanied the post with a bold caption that read, "when protecting p**sies and firing p**sies can happen all in one vote."

While Riri may not be eligible to cast a vote in the upcoming election (she is a Barbadian citizen), she's definitely not afraid to make her political views known, urging her fans to make their way to the polls on Election day, Tuesday, November 5. The "Pon De Replay" hitmaker doubled down in the comments, replying to many haters who don't agree with her support of Vice President Kamala Harris.
