In South America, especially in Brazil, where the Korean Wave is strong, interest in K-food is increasing day by day.
Some schools in Sao Paulo, the largest city, have offered Korean food as an official lunch menu, and they say they are satisfied with both taste and nutrition.

Students start eating at a restaurant with delicious Korean meals.
Students who are new to unfamiliar foods such as japchae, bulgogi, and gimbap are half curious and half pleasant.
The school is one of the Sao Paulo schools that recently introduced Korean food to school meals.

As the Korean Wave spreads explosively around K-pop and K-dramas, Brazil is also rapidly growing interest in K-food.
In particular, Sao Paulo, Brazil’s largest city, is considered a major pioneering market for Korean food because of its high interest in K-food, which established “Kimchi Day” for the first time in South America.
In response, the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation planned to introduce Korean food meals with schools in Sao Paulo as a first step toward spreading Korean food culture.

I think it will be a good opportunity for (Brazilian) children who have not encountered Korean food to enjoy it when they are young and to learn about Korean food culture.
The school’s response was positive.
I was greatly satisfied that I could not only admire the new taste of Korean food, but also provide a balanced diet that provides essential nutrients.
