He stressed that Belarus’ goal is not just to sell its equipment. The idea is to promote mutual development of the two countries. “At the meeting we suggested making plans for five years to build strategic cooperation, which will allow not only to supply products to each other, but also to implement joint projects, for example, to develop infrastructure in Nicaragua. We also discussed the projects to set up assembly plants in Nicaragua to supply equipment to all countries of Central America,” Aleksandr Yegorov said.
“It is important that we work on various matters of economic, social and cultural cooperation. This allows us to better understand each other and achieve the greatest synergetic effect. I am confident that this meeting will give even greater impetus to our interaction. We have agreed that next month we will hold video links between the Belarusian and Nicaraguan parties. In the second quarter of 2025, Nicaragua will host a meeting of the joint commission for trade and economic cooperation, where we will approve the plan of interaction for five years. I believe this plan will be successfully implemented under the control of the heads of state,” he concluded.
