But the plug was pulled by organisers amid safety fears for the performers, crew and the audience due to torrential rain.
The power at the venue also kept cutting out which left them with no choice but to cancel the gig.
Healy said: “We’re really gutted that the show was cancelled due to really awful weather.
“Our crew and the local crew worked for hours and hours to really try and make it happen.
“I actually had everything ready to go on stage when eventually they realised it was never going to work because the power kept shorting and cutting out.
“And it was dangerous as well when water and electricity don’t really go together.”
He added: “We are gutted, I’m sorry especially to those who came from far away.
“We came from far away too so we are really disappointed, we love you and will see you next time.”
Fans said they were disappointed at not seeing the group perform but understood why the decision was taken.
One said: “I waited for this for 20 years, very sad what happened. I hope one day I can see you guys, thank you for your beautiful and healing music. Love Travis!”

A third added: “Everyone’s safety is always top priority.
“Sorry your fans didn’t get to see you this time around.”
The group are due to perform in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Peru and Mexico over the coming weeks before heading back to the UK.
