Earthquake IN ALABAMA?
Yes, that’s right. If you pay attention and read the stories we report on this site, you know that we recently predicted this would happen in Alabama.

In that investigation, we told you:
This is according to the folks at the United States Geological Survey.
In recent days, they’ve updated the “earthquake hazard” map for the USA.
Notice the green and especially the yellow area of the map over Alabama.
That puts us directly in an elevated hazard status regarding seismic activity.
The scientists at the USGS get very detailed on how these hazard maps are created.
Late last night an earthquake hit Walker County, Alabama around 10:00 pm.

I recently read a report that pointed out how many Californians are moving to Alabama for a variety of reasons.
I’m betting they never dreamed they would still be at risk for earthquakes.
Earthquakes in Alabama. I never thought I would do a story on that topic.

We escaped California 3 years ago. Been through many strong earthquakes. I laugh because now I deal with tornado threat. I feel about tornadoes the same way some of you feel about earthquakes. It’s just a matter of where you live most of your life and what you’re used to.
